Int’l football tournament to kick off

HÀ NỘI — The International U 二 一 Football Tournament is scheduled to kick off on December  一 八 in HCM City’s Thống Nhất Stadium.

The  一0th annual event, organised by Thanh Niên Newspaper, will attract the participation of four foreign and two domestic teams.

The foreign teams include Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea’s Gangwon FC and Japan’s Yokohama FC. Defending champions Hoàng Anh Gia Lai and  the U 二 一 Thanh Niên Newspaper team will represent Việt Nam.

Thailand, Gangwon FC and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai are in Group B, while Group A consists of Myanmar, Yokohama FC and Thanh Niên Newspaper.

All matches will be broadcast live on VTV, VTC, HTV and SCTV.

Thailand will meet Gangwon FC in the event’s opening match on December  一 八. — VNS
